“As a midshipman at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, I learned a special name for military forces that fought without a well-designed and well-implemented strategy: “LOSERS OF BATTLES.”  Your business is constantly under attack by competitors (substitutes, new technologies, bad news, etc.) who are trying to take away your customers, employees, partners, investors, and even your own quality of life.  What’s your strategy? Are you sure that it is designed and implemented well enough to win?  How do you know for sure, and what happens if you’re wrong?”

 -          Ingar Grev

A few of the issues that business owners, CEOs, and executives hire Ingar to help them resolve are:

  • Revenue/Profit Growth below expectations;
  • Neglecting areas of life outside of work;
  • Feeling, at times, like a prisoner to the business;
  • Lack of clarity and/or the lack of a well documented and implemented strategy;
  • High employee turnover, over-reliance on a few key people, quality issues, hoarding of information, etc.
  • Growing pains: frustration, complexity, not getting anything important accomplished, being the chief problem solver, feeling a little overwhelmed, etc.

Marc Slavin, Founder and Owner of MarcParc (www.marcparc.com), writes:

“A few years back, I was watching a professional PGA golf match and the commentators were talking about how important a coach is to the players, especially the great ones.  This is when I realized that my potential for greatness in business could not be attained without more help and I reached out to Ingar and his program.

I have been able to focus on the big picture of our organization, by becoming more strategic in my thinking and developing a team of professionals that share my vision.   I can honestly say that Ingar’s program has made a huge difference in my life and success in business as well as personal.”   I highly recommend all business owners large or small to work with Ingar Grev to explore their real potential.”

A colleague once told me, “Ingar, you know, you really are a leader for leaders.”  What he meant was that he trusted my advice regarding helping him grow his business.  From my leadership positions in the Naval Academy community (class president, Board of Trustees for the US Naval Academy Alumni Association) to my leadership positions at companies as large as Raytheon and as small as a 15-employee artificial intelligence company (a current role), practical, growth-oriented leadership has always been my passion.

What my leadership training and experience mean to my clients is that I don’t speak in theoretical terms.  As a submarine officer, a football coach, a front-line supervisor, a director, and a board member alongside the world’s best leaders, I have expertise that most leadership experts don’t have.

As an engineer by training (3 engineering degrees) and by profession, I use systems-thinking for every big problem.  I do not use or recommend unproven approaches, and my insistence on validation helps me maximize productivity while minimizing risk.

What my engineering experience means to my clients is that my systematic approach and adherence to validated processes has allowed them to trust the insights they gained.  This results in quicker implementation of changes and more rapid improvement in growth and profitability.
